Great expectations

Nov 19, 2020

Optimists and pessimists are rarely disappointed. They always find something to confirm their beliefs.

One of my favourite things to do in the morning before everybody else wakes up is to feed the birds. The other day I was later than usual and they were all waiting for me - bustling, impatient and expectant. They had gathered their friends and there they were. It was proof if ever proof were needed to expect good things to happen and you will seldom be disappointed.

It can seem trite and irritating to be told to think happy thoughts, especially in the middle of a global pandemic, but it is precisely during these times that thinking happy thoughts can turn a bleak day into one filled with a little more sunshine. Changing your thoughts changes your energy - your vibration, what it is that you’re broadcasting and tuning in to the world around you.

Rather than surrounding yourself with clouds of grey, imagine swirls of whatever colour speaks to you and focus on that colour. Let’s swirl our way colourfully through life.

Wishing you a colourful day.
